I stopped in the middle
Of the daily run
Trying to find a moment
To soak in the immense beauty
That surrounds us
And while the eyes
Feasted upon the dew
The greens, the light
The senses became keenly aware
Of nature's gradual adaptations
As winters begin to set in
Also I wondered
Isn't life the same as
The routine run
We trudge on
Sometimes even when
Every breath and step is an effort
Because it's got to be done
And yet there are
Exits, changed routes and
Half finished courses
There's so much loveliness
In small things
Waiting to be discovered
If only we knew
When to pause and reflect
And let the moment be
